After you build a few buildings, you will unlock the ability to perform upgrades. Upgrade the houses as you can with daub -- you'll need to harvest clay and have some farming technology. That keeps them happier. Building better houses (bigger and made from better material -- sticks are worse than logs are worse than stone) will also help, but that's hard until you have a lot of resources. In any case, anything over 0 is ok.Just upgrade from the waddle using edit with the hammer. The only reason for the bigger houses is an additional child slot. If you dont have an equal gender ratio that wont matter since youll have 2 males in a house.
